As bars andrestaurants continues to dominate the streets of Nairobi, the use of glasspackaging increases. Typically every wine/liquor is served in a glass bottle. Workersthrow away 300 bottles of wine and 100 bottles of hard liquor on average of oneweek and even more waste in most of the restaurants/bars.
By collectingabout 60 bottles per day from various outlets, we rescue them from ending indumps, landfills or the streets where they might take millions of years todecompose. In a year we manage to rescue about 20,000bottles that ends up inrestaurants/bars/hotels as usable drinking tumblers.
